Operation of the 'Visiting Gender Equality Education' Program in Buk-gu, Gwangju
On the 13th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will operate the 'Visiting Gender Equality Education' program starting next month.
The Visiting Gender Equality Education program is a new policy initiated by Buk-gu this year to improve local residents' awareness of gender equality and gender sensitivity, aiming to prevent violence and establish a fair and inclusive community foundation for all.
This program, conducted in collaboration with specialized gender equality education institutions, will be held until October targeting ▲Resident Autonomy (Committee) Councils ▲Community Security Councils ▲Neighborhood Leaders ▲Village Communities ▲Social Welfare Organizations, among others.
The education method involves professional instructors visiting institutions and organizations that wish to participate, providing customized education tailored to each audience on topics such as ▲Prevention of Digital Sexual Violence ▲Enhancing Gender Sensitivity ▲Practicing Gender Equality in Daily Life.
In particular, Buk-gu plans to actively encourage participation in the education program by institutions and organizations receiving subsidies, ensuring that the executing organizations evenly reflect the needs of both women and men from the planning stage through implementation, so that residents can benefit from projects equally without gender discrimination.
