Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) and the women's professional volleyball team Pepper Savings Bank AI Peppers announced on the 13th that they have provided volleyballs worth 2 million won for the students of Sangmu High School (Principal Kim Youngjin).

Sangmu High School, which won the Gwangju Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Cup Club Competition last year, is actively engaged in volleyball activities, and the volleyballs received will be used for the school's sports club activities.

On the day, Kim Ikang, the mayor of Seo-gu who visited Sangmu High School, said, "Through active collaboration with AI Peppers, we will take the lead in nurturing youth volleyball players and expanding the base in the region," and added, "Seo-gu will continue to support AI Peppers to become a representative local team."

Since signing an agreement with Seo-gu in October last year to expand and revitalize grassroots sports, AI Peppers has been conducting various communication and exchange activities.

In particular, since the 17th of last month, the Seo-gu Volleyball Class, led by professional coach Lee Seonghee, a former national team coach, has been operated for volleyball club members, receiving great responses.

Meanwhile, AI Peppers will hold a fan appreciation event, 'THANK U FANS,' on the 16th, the day of the last home game of the Dodram 2023?2024 V-League women's season, to thank fans who have given unwavering support and encouragement throughout the season.
