[Breaking News] Increase in 'Non-face-to-face Medical Consultations'... 15.7% Rise in Clinic-level Medical Institutions
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced that the number of non-face-to-face medical consultation claims at the clinic level totaled 30,569 during the week from the 23rd to the 29th of last month, when the 'full expansion of non-face-to-face consultations' began, marking a 15.7% increase compared to the previous week. During the same period, the number of non-face-to-face consultation claims at hospital-level medical institutions was 76.
The Ministry stated, "The main users are patients with mild illnesses such as the common cold," and added, "Considering that it can take from one to three months for medical institutions to submit consultation fee claims, it is expected that even more citizens have actually used non-face-to-face consultations."
