‘Scream’ Song Gap-seok and ‘Pro- Moon’ Do Jong-hwan Face Defeat in April 10 General Election Nominations

View original imageSong Gap-seok, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea classified as part of the Bimyeong (anti-Lee Jae-myung) faction, and Do Jong-hwan, a pro-Moon Jae-in (Chinmun) faction member, were eliminated from the April 10 general election nominations.
Song lost in the Gwangju Seo-gu Gap primary, announced by the party's election management committee on the 12th, to Jo In-cheol, former Deputy Mayor of Culture and Economy of Gwangju, and thus failed to secure the nomination.
Do Jong-hwan, a pro-Moon faction member from Cheongju Heungdeok in Chungbuk, was also defeated by Lee Yeon-hee, Deputy Director of the Democratic Research Institute.

View original imageIn Seoul Jung-Seongdong, incumbent Park Seong-jun, a pro-Lee Jae-myung faction member, defeated former lawmaker Jeong Ho-jun, and in Gyeonggi Goyang Jeong, former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member Kim Young-hwan won against incumbent Lee Yong-woo.
In Gangwon Chuncheon-Cheorwon-Hwacheon-Yanggu Eul, lawyer Jeon Seong defeated former Korea Coal Corporation President Yoo Jeong-bae, and in Jeonnam Mokpo, lawmaker Kim Won-i defeated Bae Jong-ho, Vice Chairman of the party's Strategic Planning Committee.
