On this day, Superintendent Seo visited Jeonju Daejeong Elementary School (Principal Yoo Jungbok) Neulbom School and surprised the new students by reading the fairy tale book "Dingdong Spider," stepping in as a Neulbom teacher. After regular classes, he visited the first-grade class 5 classroom, which was used as a care room, and donated his talent.
Turning the pages one by one, he encouraged the children’s participation by saying, "This time it will take a little longer, so everyone close your eyes. Now open your eyes," playing the role of a skilled care teacher.
All 112 first-grade students at Jeonju Daejeong Elementary Neulbom School participate in various Neulbom programs such as jumping clay, creative boards, physical education, creative science, and robot aviation.
Superintendent Seo moved to the dedicated care classroom and participated in a bag-making program with the children. Afterwards, in the principal’s office, he discussed ways to support Neulbom Schools with officials from the Jeonbuk Office of Education, Jeonju Education Support Office, and Jeonju Daejeong Elementary School.
Neulbom Schools provide free customized programs for 2 hours daily to students who wish to participate. They receive various education programs necessary for adapting to school life, basic academic skills, foreign languages, and more.
The Jeonbuk Office of Education operated a support system by type in the first semester, considering school size and staffing status. Based on the results, they plan to prepare a safe and substantial Neulbom School for the second semester.
A Neulbom School field support team will also be formed. Led by Deputy Superintendent Park Juyong, the team will focus on finding schools to support intensively during March to help establish Neulbom Schools.
Earlier, Superintendent Seo stated at the New Year press conference, "We will ensure that all children receive care," and announced plans to devote all efforts to the "Jeonbuk-style Neulbom School."
