Gaon Group Partners with VERNECT to Expand Metaverse Market... "Strengthening XR Technology"
Gaon Group, a total solution company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), announced on the 8th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for technical cooperation with Vernect, an extended reality (XR) solution company, on the 29th of last month.
Through this agreement, Gaon Group plans to strengthen its collaboration with Vernect in the development of technologies related to augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and XR across the metaverse, and to expand its market presence. Gaon Group, which has secured references for supplying XR devices and content in the public sector, is interpreted as laying the groundwork to maximize synergy by establishing a strategic partnership with Vernect, which has strengths in industrial XR solutions.
Gaon Group, promoting its XR business through its subsidiary KFutureTech, laid the foundation for the public market by independently developing a special training 5G XR device in 2022 and supplying it to the National Police Agency. It also participated in the "2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Sports Games Metaverse Platform Construction Project," held for the first time in Asia. During the two-week event held successfully from January 19, it showcased XR devices and AR content linked to them to a global audience, demonstrating its technological capabilities.
Vernect is a company that provides XR solutions using core technology based on computer vision that detects and tracks three-dimensional spaces and objects in real time. Vernect, which has secured major domestic conglomerates, government, and public institutions as clients, was recognized for its technological prowess and growth and was listed on the KOSDAQ market last year.
