Gurye-gun Holds Entrance Ceremony for Residential Agricultural Startup Support Center
Growing the Dream of Returning to Farming and Rural Life While Living with Family
On the 4th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the entrance ceremony for the 8th class of trainees at the Stay-type Agricultural Startup Support Center auditorium.
The Stay-type Agricultural Startup Support Center (320 Yongbang-ro, Yongbang-myeon, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do) is an educational facility for prospective return-to-farm individuals, equipped with an education building, dormitory building (30 households), detached houses (5 households), farming practice fields, mushroom cultivation houses, and agricultural machinery practice grounds on a 31,603㎡ site.
Since recruiting the first class of trainees in 2017, the county has been providing specialized education for return-to-farm and return-to-village, producing 200 graduate households to date.
The 8th class of trainees will receive education on major crop cultivation over 34 sessions during a 10-month period from March 12, starting with agricultural machinery practice training.
Specialist instructors in each field will conduct training on beekeeping management, mushroom cultivation, and more, while various programs such as learning about Gurye’s history and culture and visiting leading farms will also be offered.
County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “We will continuously support and assist so that the dreams and passion of the trainees can take root and blossom in Gurye.”
Meanwhile, the Gurye-gun Stay-type Agricultural Startup Support Center is carrying out tasks related to return-to-farm and return-to-village, including counseling and education, housing repair support, agricultural facility support, and attracting urban residents.
