Lee Gijae, Yangcheon District Mayor, Attends Yangcheon Banrillim Project Franchise Agreement Ceremony
On the afternoon of the 26th, Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, attended the 'Yangcheon Banolim Side Dish Project Agreement Ceremony' held at Chanshulin (14, Jungang-ro 43-gil, Sinjeong 3-dong).
The Yangcheon Banolim Project (Bringing Side Dishes to Your Table) is a key welfare service of the district this year, aimed at providing healthy side dishes to single-person households at risk of food insecurity and strengthening the public-private cooperative care safety net by signing franchise agreements with local side dish stores.
As a result of recruiting beneficiaries and franchise stores until the 15th, the district selected a total of 800 beneficiary households and 24 partner side dish stores. In particular, Chanshulin, which Mayor Lee visited on this day, was fostered as a youth store in 2021 to create youth jobs and revitalize the local commercial district.
Mayor Lee exchanged mutual agreements with the representative of the Chanshulin side dish store to provide healthy side dishes and jointly attached franchise stickers and information boards.

Lee Gi-jae, Mayor of Yangcheon District, stated, “It is especially meaningful that a youth store, which grew with the district’s support for initial startups, is participating in this Banolim project to realize a virtuous cycle of coexistence. In this era of isolation marked by a lack of relationships, I hope the Banolim project encourages isolated households to go out and form social networks, helping restore their daily lives.”
