Pohang City has decided to extend the operating hours of public medical institutions in preparation for collective actions by doctors following the increase in medical school admissions.
Pohang Medical Center, which serves as a public medical facility, has been making every effort to minimize medical service gaps by extending weekday hours by 2 hours and adding morning consultations on public holidays since the 23rd.
The available consultation hours are ▲Weekdays from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM ▲Saturdays and public holidays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with six departments available on public holidays: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Urology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition, emergency patients can receive treatment 24 hours a day.
Medical institutions available during the collective action period can be checked in real-time through the ‘Emergency Medical Information System (E-Gen)’ and can also be confirmed via the Health and Welfare Call Center, 119 Emergency Situation Management Center, Pohang City Health Center website, and the Emergency Medical Portal.
