Goheung-gun's 'Visiting Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Explanation Session' Receives Positive Response

All-Out Effort to Attract 5060 Generation Living in Major Cities

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) held the first "Visiting Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Rural Living Briefing Session" of the year on the 23rd in Seoul, targeting about 150 members of the "Reunion of Gohung-gun Youth Association in Seoul," receiving great response.

At this briefing session, various support policies for return-to-farming and return-to-rural living were introduced along with excellent cases of return-to-farming and return-to-rural living. In particular, one-on-one in-depth consultations were conducted for reunion members in Seoul who are planning to return to their hometowns.

An official from Gohung-gun stated, "We plan to actively promote attracting the 50s and 60s generation to design their second life in their hometown by utilizing personal networking of reunion groups such as baby boomer generation alumni associations living in cities," adding, "We hope for much interest and promotion from reunion members."

Meanwhile, Gohung-gun has been recognized as a hub for return-to-farming and return-to-rural living by receiving high evaluations for various and differentiated policies such as ▲post-management monitoring projects for return-to-farming and return-to-rural residents ▲support for repair costs of farmhouses for return-to-farming and return-to-rural residents ▲youth "Return to Gohung" project, earning titles such as "1st place for three consecutive years in the 2023 Jeollanam-do Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Rural Living Comprehensive Evaluation" and "Selected as the Best Institution Nationwide in the 2023 Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Rural Living Attraction Support Performance Evaluation."
