Busan Myeongjang Library Awarded the 56th Korea Library Award
Recognition of Contributions to Local Reading Culture Infrastructure and Its Role
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education's Myeongjang Library (Director Jeon Mi-sook) received the group award at the 56th Korea Library Award ceremony held during the 75th regular general meeting of the Korean Library Association on the 22nd.
The Korea Library Award is established by the Korean Library Association and awarded annually to individuals or organizations nationwide who have contributed to the development of libraries, aiming to encourage enthusiasm for library advancement and recognize their achievements.
Myeongjang Library was recognized for its contributions as a reading culture infrastructure in the Busan area through establishing a user-centered, customized 24-hour book lending service environment via space innovation, promoting school-tailored cooperative projects through win-win collaboration among regional education support offices, schools, and public libraries, and operating programs considering the characteristics of different generations and social classes.
