AACSB, the World's Largest Accreditation Body with 100 Years of Tradition, Accredits Only 5% of Universities Worldwide
UNIST Recognized for Excellence in Technology and Management Convergence Program... Expectation for Expanded Global Exchange
UNIST has been internationally recognized for the excellence of its business education program quality.
UNIST's Department of Management Science, along with the Graduate School of Technology Management and the College of Convergence Management under the Department, has reacquired international accreditation in business education from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
UNIST was the first institution in the southeastern region to receive AACSB accreditation in 2018.
AACSB is the world's largest international accreditation body for business education, with a tradition spanning over 100 years. It evaluates a total of 15 educational indicators, including university development strategy, faculty capabilities, curriculum, educational environment, and student excellence, to certify the quality of education. Currently, only 5% of business schools worldwide have obtained AACSB accreditation, reflecting the rigor of the evaluation process.
UNIST applied for reaccreditation in September last year and was notified of its reaccreditation in February this year. AACSB stated in its evaluation, “UNIST was cited by the reviewers as a model case of convergence education between technology and management,” and “the innovation and practical effectiveness of the education program were also outstanding.” The accreditation is valid for five years.
