Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Strategy and Finance, stated, "We will mobilize all available resources, including contingency funds, to deploy alternative medical personnel and ensure that emergency medical services operate seamlessly through holiday and nighttime care at public medical institutions."
On the 26th, during his opening remarks at the Emergency Economic Ministers' Meeting held at the Government Seoul Office, Deputy Prime Minister Choi said, "As concerns over medical service gaps have increased recently, the difficulties in people’s livelihoods have intensified, posing a significant threat to the lives and safety of the public."
Regarding the value-up support measures announced that day, he said, "The value-up support measures are not completed with today's announcement but are the first step to upgrading our capital market to the next level." He added, "We plan to finalize the value-up guidelines through additional seminars in the first half of the year and announce tax support measures as they become ready."
He continued, "We will communicate sufficiently with companies and investors and continuously and progressively develop specific measures until the term 'Korea discount' disappears." He added, "The Yoon Suk-yeol administration will prioritize the advancement of our capital market throughout its term, pursuing amendments to the Commercial Act and exploring additional measures from various angles."
At the meeting, follow-up plans for the transportation sector public discussion and the livelihood and win-win finance sector public discussion were also discussed. Deputy Prime Minister Choi said, "In the transportation sector, we will promptly promote the construction of the metropolitan express railroad network (GTX) and the regional metropolitan railroad network (x-TX)." He emphasized, "We will also prepare customized transportation measures for each of the metropolitan areas in the east, west, south, and north of the Seoul metropolitan area to improve transportation in new towns within the first half of the year."
