Gokseong-gun Holds Final Report Meeting for Youth Policy Research Project

Preventing Youth Population Outflow and Discovering Customized Youth Policies

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held the final report meeting for the establishment of the basic plan and implementation plan for youth policy on the 21st to address the decline in regional vitality due to the decrease in the youth population and the vulnerability of the population structure.

The report meeting was held at the Agricultural Technology Center's main courtyard, attended by about 40 people including County Governor Lee Sang-cheol, the county council chairman, county council members, youth policy committee members, the chairman of the Hope Gokseong Youth Partner, the president of the Youth Federation, and cooperative representatives, where they established a five-year basic plan for youth policy and annual implementation plans.

The main contents include “Basic status of youth,” “Setting the direction of youth policy through analysis of actual conditions and characteristics,” “Collecting opinions for promoting youth population inflow policies,” “Responding to population decline,” “Deriving policy tasks to prevent youth outflow,” “Discovering Gokseong-gun customized regional specialized youth policies,” and “Preparing support systems and funding plans for youth policy promotion,” as well as plans to form and activate public-private cooperation systems.

The agency in charge of the project stated in the final report that it has entered the final stage of task completion and is preparing to establish the youth policy plan for Gokseong-gun.

Governor Lee Sang-cheol said, “Youth policy is an important task that determines the future of Gokseong-gun. Through this youth policy planning project, we will do our best to create a happy Gokseong-gun where young people stay.”
