On the 22nd, Jo Gyu-il, mayor of Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, visited Gyeongsang National University Hospital located in Chilam-dong, Jinju City, to check the hospital's operational status and emergency medical maintenance situation following the collective resignation of residents, and to encourage the staff.
This visit and inspection were conducted to minimize inconvenience to citizens due to medical gaps and to promptly activate the emergency medical system, as Gyeongsang National University Hospital, the central hospital of western Gyeongnam and a regional emergency medical center, plays a crucial role.

He then visited the hospital's Emergency Medical Support Center to check the emergency treatment situation, and afterward met with the dean of Gyeongsang National University College of Medicine to confirm the status of medical students' leaves of absence, urging efforts to return or cancel the leave applications.
