Icheon City Children's Library Operates 'Bookstart Chaeknori' in the First Half of the Year
Helping to Form Reading Habits in Early Childhood
The Icheon City Children's Library in Gyeonggi-do will operate the first half of the year 'Bookstart Book Play' program starting from the 19th of next month.
This program is designed to cultivate reading habits in young children by helping them become familiar with books through play activities while reading picture books.
The first half Bookstart Book Play will run three sessions from March to July, each consisting of six classes. The program is open to ▲Stage 1: children aged 12 to 28 months and their guardians, and ▲Stage 2: children aged 29 to 45 months and their guardians.
The first session will begin on the 19th of next month, and participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through the Icheon City Integrated Library website starting on the 28th of this month.

An official from Icheon City stated, "We hope this program will be a time for children and parents to build intimacy and strengthen bonds, allowing them to grow happily together with books."
