Until now, if a power water leisure vehicle operator’s license was lost, the license holder had to visit the nearest Coast Guard Station to fill out a lost license report and reissuance application, wait until the reissuance was completed, and then visit the Coast Guard Station again to collect the new license, which was inconvenient.
To reduce these inconveniences, since February 2 of this year, the Water Leisure Integrated Information System has been linked with Government24, allowing operator licenses to be issued in both Korean and English. It also enables checking the license renewal period, administrative sanctions on the license, and verification of the license’s authenticity.
Additionally, by accessing Naver and using simple authentication, a mobile power water leisure vehicle operator’s license can be issued, and the mobile license can also be used as a means of license qualification verification.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Water Leisure Division of the Jeju Coast Guard Station or checked through the Water Leisure Integrated Information on the internet homepage.
A Jeju Coast Guard official stated, “To resolve the inconvenience of civil petitioners who find it difficult to visit the Coast Guard Station due to long distances, and through the expansion of familiar civil service channels (Government24) and private platforms, civil petitioners will be able to conveniently use water leisure-related services anytime and anywhere.”
He added, “Through proactive administration, we will provide more convenient services to become a Coast Guard that approaches the people.”
