Jinju City Holds Appointment Ceremony for the 3rd Public Architecture Deliberation Committee
Enhancing the Value of Public Buildings through 33 Project Reviews
On the 19th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam held the appointment ceremony for the ‘3rd Public Architecture Deliberation Committee,’ which has been further specialized through legal amendments, at the situation room on the 5th floor of City Hall.
The 3rd Public Architecture Deliberation Committee consists of 7 external experts with over 10 years of professional experience in architectural planning and design, including architect Choi Sam-young, who is currently serving as Jinju’s chief planner, Professor Yoo Bang-geun from the Department of Architecture at Gyeongsang National University, and public architect Kim Sang-bu, along with 1 internal member. The committee will be active for the next three years.

View original imageThe Public Architecture Deliberation Committee is an organization that reviews or advises on matters related to architectural planning for public architecture projects in accordance with the Architectural Service Industry Promotion Act. Through the review of public architecture projects with an estimated design cost of 50 million KRW or more, the committee plays a role in enhancing the quality and value of public architecture while ensuring citizen convenience and safety.
The Jinju Public Architecture Deliberation Committee was first launched in 2020 and has reviewed 33 projects conducted by Jinju City to date, thereby increasing the value of public buildings.
