More than 20 casualties have been reported in Belgorod, Russia, due to a missile strike by Ukraine.
On the 15th (local time), the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Ukraine attacked Belgorod with the RM-70 'Vampire' multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), and that 14 of the missiles were intercepted by the Russian air defense system.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Belgorod, stated on his Telegram that "according to preliminary information, 5 people, including one child, have died, and 18 people, including 5 children, were injured and transported to medical facilities."
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the strike as "another terrorist act committed by the Ukrainian regime" and said she would request deliberation from international organizations, including the United Nations Security Council.
