LabGenomics to Launch PinkBiome Vaginal Microbiome Test This Month... Strengthening Position in Women's Health Diagnostics Market
LabGenomics announced on the 15th that it will newly launch the vaginal microbiome test PinkBiomeCare this month.
The PinkBiomeCare vaginal microbiome test utilizes the 16S ribosomal RNA gene analysis technique based on NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing). It is a diagnostic test that comprehensively evaluates vaginal health by identifying the types of beneficial and harmful microbes in the vagina, their distribution ratios, and balance status.
In particular, it has the advantage of being conducted non-face-to-face without visiting a hospital. It provides health status change monitoring through periodic testing for examinees who find it inconvenient to visit gynecology clinics or for prospective pregnant women preparing for pregnancy.
LabGenomics plans to expand from the B2B (business-to-business) market, based on its recognition in hospitals, to the B2C (business-to-consumer) market through delivery. Along with diversifying its women's health diagnostic product lineup, it will also diversify sales channels.
The company stated, "We have a solid existing hospital network providing the obstetrics and gynecology product lines MamGuard and AnpangGuard, which have driven sales growth," and added, "We will continue strategic marketing centered on women's community channels, including the existing network, to quickly capture the market."
