Trump says "I love you" to his wife... Donation link attached together
Unusual Public Display of Affection
Biden and Obama Also Left Messages
Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed affection for his wife Melania Trump, who has stood by him despite multiple indictments, on Valentine’s Day and included a fundraising link for his campaign expenses.
On the 14th (local time), political media outlet The Hill reported that in an email sent to supporters that day, former President Donald Trump said, "Dear Melania, I love you," and added, "You have never left my side despite all the indictments, arrests, and witch hunts." He continued, "You have always supported me in every situation," and expressed affection by saying, "Without your guidance, kindness, and warmth, I would not be who I am today." It is unusual for former President Trump to publicly express affection for Melania. Until now, Melania Trump has rarely been seen not only at Donald Trump’s campaign events or court appearances but also around their residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, leading to rumors of marital discord and speculation that their marriage was more of a business arrangement.
Additionally, the email sent by former President Donald Trump that day included a message urging supporters to "send your love to Melania" along with a link encouraging donations.
In response, Nikki Haley, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and a competitor for the Republican presidential nomination, mocked former President Trump in a statement, saying, "I love dictators and they love me too. This is Donald Trump’s Valentine’s Day greeting to dictators around the world." Haley pointed out instances such as Trump’s 2019 rally where he revealed receiving multiple letters from Kim Jong-un, Chairman of North Korea’s State Affairs Commission, saying, "We fell in love," and criticized, "For years, Trump has professed love to the world’s most brutal dictators and praised their power and leadership."
Former President Donald Trump is not the only politician to publicly show affection for their spouse. President Joe Biden also confessed on X (formerly Twitter) to his wife Jill Biden, saying, "Jill, you are the love of my life and the vitality of my love." Former President Barack Obama posted a photo on X of himself walking on the beach with his wife Michelle Obama, saying, "How did I get so lucky? Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend."
