A livestock manure leakage incident occurred from a large livestock barn in Seokban Village, Anui-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, contaminating a nearby stream.
According to Hamyang-gun officials and residents of Seokban Village, on the 14th, the Guigokcheon stream near Seokban Village had turned pitch black and emitted a strong foul odor that was almost unbearable.

An official from Hamyang-gun, who visited the site that day, stated, “Since the manure leakage has been detected, we will investigate how and to what extent the leakage occurred and take action based on the results.”
He added, “Livestock manure discharge is subject to legal action, and we plan to handle it with a zero-tolerance policy according to relevant laws.”
