RaonSecure Builds Internal Control Innovation System for DGB Daegu Bank
RaonSecure has carried out an internal control innovation project for DGB Daegu Bank, enhancing safety and efficiency while implementing a system that complies with financial authorities' regulations to prevent financial accidents.
IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEOs Lee Soon-hyung and Lee Jung-ah) announced on the 13th that it successfully launched a ‘personalized authentication system’ centered on its biometric authentication solution to innovate internal controls at DGB Daegu Bank.
DGB Daegu Bank undertook this personalized authentication system project to respond to the Financial Supervisory Service’s compliance requirements aimed at preventing financial accidents caused by insiders exploiting vulnerabilities in ID and password methods, strengthen internal controls over access to business systems, prevent financial accidents in advance, and realize the next-generation login method ‘Passwordless’ through the introduction of a biometric authentication system.
Previously, the Financial Supervisory Service announced the ‘Domestic Banks Internal Control Innovation Plan’ to prevent financial accidents and established regulations for bank system access control. Subsequently, the Financial Security Institute published the ‘Financial Sector Biometric Information Authentication and Management Guide,’ presenting security measures for the safe application of biometric authentication in the financial sector.
RaonSecure implemented a personalized authentication system by building an integrated authentication platform into DGB Daegu Bank’s internal systems centered on its biometric authentication solution ‘OnePass.’ OnePass serves as a central platform that integrally manages and operates personalized authentication methods. Accordingly, DGB Daegu Bank employees can access internal systems and perform their duties using enhanced personalized authentication methods such as facial recognition, mobile biometric authentication (fingerprint/Face ID), and mOTP (Mobile One Time Password) during work login. Additionally, as an integrated authentication platform, it can provide a wider variety of authentication methods and supports the addition and expansion of new authentication methods.
OnePass is RaonSecure’s FIDO-based multi-channel authentication platform, the first in the world to obtain certification from the FIDO Alliance. It serves over 1,000 domestic and international clients and holds numerous references in financial sector internal controls and secondary authentication, maintaining the number one market share domestically. OnePass provides an integrated platform that verifies access rights and personal identification through Windows login, major business integrations, and biometric information such as facial and fingerprint recognition. This supports strengthened authentication for enhanced internal control and zero trust implementation, making it an optimized solution that complies with the Financial Supervisory Service’s guidelines and meets banks’ requirements.
RaonSecure expects that winning the DGB Daegu Bank project will also be advantageous in securing numerous future internal control innovation projects in the secondary financial sector, including savings banks, securities firms, and insurance companies.
