Muan-gun Promotes Hometown Love Donation Campaign for Lunar New Year Celebration
Joint Campaign for Returning Travelers at Mokpo Station Plaza
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) conducted a promotional campaign for the Hometown Love Donation Program targeting visitors to traditional markets and large supermarkets in the area on the 6th and 7th of the Lunar New Year holiday.

According to the county on the 8th, to increase awareness of the program, which is in its second year of implementation, and to promote donation fundraising, they operated a gift exhibition hall and provided one-on-one program guidance at Ilro Traditional Market, Nonghyup Hanaro Mart Namak Branch, and Lotte Outlet Namak Branch, actively promoting the Hometown Love Donation Program.
Additionally, on the 8th, a joint promotional campaign will continue at Mokpo Station Plaza with Jeollanam-do, Mokpo City, Sinan-gun, and NH Nonghyup Bank Mokpo Sinan Branch targeting visitors returning to their hometowns to ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation Program.
Governor Kim San said, “I hope everyone visiting their hometowns during the Lunar New Year holiday has a warm holiday filled with smiles,” and added, “We ask for much love and support for the success of Muan-gun’s Hometown Love Donation Program in 2024 as well.”
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate a certain amount to local governments other than their place of residence. Donors receive tax deductions and gifts (up to 30% of the donation amount), and local governments use the donations to improve residents’ welfare and promote regional development.
