SME Sarang Nanum Foundation Delivers 53,000 Tteok Mandu-guk Kits for Lunar New Year
On the 7th, the Small and Medium Business Love Sharing Foundation held a delivery ceremony for 53,000 servings of Tteok Mandu-guk kits at Hwawon General Social Welfare Center, representing 263 welfare facilities nationwide and 1,000 households of veterans.
The large-capacity Tteok Mandu-guk kit consists of rice cake soup rice cakes, dumplings, beef, and rice noodles, enough to serve 40 people. A total of 1,300 boxes were produced and delivered to facilities for the disabled, elderly, and children. Additionally, 1,000 boxes of Tteok Mandu-guk kits for a family of four were separately produced and delivered to 1,000 households of 6.25 War veterans.
The Tteok Mandu-guk kit program started in 2021 in response to non-face-to-face support due to COVID-19, and has become a representative project of the foundation, supported every Lunar New Year and Chuseok, showing positive responses from welfare facilities.
Son In-guk, Chairman of the Small and Medium Business Love Sharing Foundation, said, “We hope that the small contributions from the small and medium business community will bring some comfort and help to the tables of the underprivileged, who have been shrinking due to the economic downturn and rising prices.”
