Completion of Seongbuk-gu No.1 Seoul-style Kids Cafe... Preparing for Opening, Pilot Operation Followed by Official Opening in March... Expanding Play and Care Infrastructure to Enhance Welfare for Children and Caregivers
Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) held a completion ceremony on the 5th for the Seoul-style Kids Cafe Seongbuk-gu Beoljip Children's Park Branch (56-7 Wolgok-ro 7-gil).
The Seoul-style Kids Cafe is an indoor play space designed so that children can freely run and play safely without restrictions from external environmental factors such as heatwaves and fine dust.
The district plans to open five kids cafes this year, starting with the first branch at Beoljip Children's Park.
The newly constructed kids cafe within Beoljip Children's Park in Jongam-dong was built as a small wooden cabin with a dedicated area of 89.19㎡ to naturally blend with the park, attracting the attention of children passing by.
The interior is composed of ▲ seven types of kiosk-style AR content, ▲ mat-type content, and ▲ brick play areas, creating various play spaces that encourage children's physical activity and stimulate their imagination.
Beoljip Children's Park Kids Cafe, where children can enjoy indoor and outdoor play while experiencing the changing natural scenery of the park each season, is scheduled to officially open in March after completing the necessary preparation procedures and a pilot operation at the end of February.
Operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday (9 AM to 6 PM), with three sessions per day. Children aged 3 to 7 can use the facility with their guardians after making a reservation in advance through the Seoul Our Neighborhood Care Portal.
