Over 1,400 Educational Institutions Including Schools in Gyeonggi-do Offer Free Parking During Lunar New Year Holiday
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will open more than 1,400 parking lots at educational institutions across the province free of charge during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Office of Education announced on the 6th that from the 9th to the 12th, the four days marking the start of the Lunar New Year holiday, it will open parking lots at affiliated educational institutions and schools free of charge to provide parking convenience for visitors returning home and local residents visiting Gyeonggi Province.
The open facilities include more than 1,400 locations such as direct affiliates of the Office of Education, education support offices, libraries, training centers, and schools throughout the province. The opening hours will be individually determined by each school or institution or operated all day long.
Information on parking lots open free of charge during the Lunar New Year holiday can be checked from the 8th, one day before the holiday, through Gongyoonuri (Public Resource Sharing Service for the General Public, www.eshare.go.kr) or portal sites.
However, users of the open parking lots must leave their contact information on the front of their vehicles in case of emergencies, and since these are educational facilities, attention must be paid to preventing student safety accidents.
