Yongin-si, Cultural Arts Support Project Contest
Support of Over 100 Million Won in 3 Sectors
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it is accepting applications for a public contest project to support cultural activities of citizens, artists, and organizations until the 14th.
Yongin City is calling for applications for the Cultural Arts Activity Support Project to support the cultural activities of local artists and organizations. A performance by the Yongin Citizens' Choir, which was supported by the city last year.

This public contest project consists of three categories: ▲Support for Everyone's Cultural and Artistic Activities ▲Support for Visiting Cultural and Artistic Activities ▲Support for Creative Activity Spaces, with a total support amount of 105 million KRW.
'Support for Everyone's Cultural and Artistic Activities' provides up to 10 million KRW to organizations active in performance fields such as gugak (traditional Korean music), music, dance, and theater, as well as visual and artistic fields including literature, fine arts, photography, and ceramics.
'Support for Visiting Cultural and Artistic Activities' is a project that supports art organizations that perform by visiting culturally underserved areas. Six organizations will be supported with up to 5 million KRW each.
'Support for Creative Activity Spaces' provides rehearsal space rental fees to art organizations and community cultural clubs. The city offers the Mir Stadium designated viewing room located in Samga-dong, Cheoin-gu, and supports up to 1 million KRW for 10 organizations.

Applicants wishing to receive support must submit the application form and project plan by the 14th either by visiting the Yongin City Culture and Arts Division or via email. A Yongin City official stated, "We hope this support project will help revive the activities of cultural artists and organizations affected by COVID-19 and enable citizens to enjoy high-quality cultural performances."
