Guidance on Reading Education and Learning Methods
Busan City Library for Citizens (Director Cheon Jeong-suk) will hold special lectures on reading education for 120 parents every day at 10 a.m. in the lecture room from the 20th to the 23rd.
This special lecture aims to help parents select books suitable for their children and to enhance parents' capabilities regarding reading education and learning methods at home and school.
The lectures will be conducted by current experts. On the 20th, Lee Min-sook, head teacher at Okcheon Elementary School, will give a lecture on "One Book per Semester Reading and Reading Education in Elementary School," and on the 21st, Shin Mi-jung, a supervisor at the City Office of Education, will lecture on "High School Credit System and High School Curriculum."
Following that, on the 22nd, Professor Lim Yeo-joo from the Department of Library and Information Science at Busan National University will speak about "Selecting Suitable Books and Reading Guidance for My Child," and on the 23rd, Park Won-joo, a supervisor at the City Office of Education, will explain "Improving Learning Efficiency! Metacognitive Learning Methods."
