Sponsored by Hyosung, this concert carried the message of creating a world where people with and without disabilities coexist harmoniously under the theme “Donghaeng” (Companionship). Dr. Oh Eun-young shared the concerns of parents with disabled children through the “Counseling Clinic” and received enthusiastic applause for her sharp solutions. The “Counseling Clinic” is a format where Dr. Oh directly answers stories and questions collected from the audience during ticket reservations and on-site. Many questions that everyone could relate to regardless of disability status?such as difficult moments due to social perspectives and tips for living confidently?raised the energy of the venue.
In line with the theme, the integrated chamber music group composed of musicians with and without disabilities, “Gaon Soloists,” performed pieces such as the OST from the movie “The Wizard of Oz” and “Over the Rainbow,” delivering warm comfort to the audience. Singer Lee Sang-woo, who has a son with developmental disabilities, made a surprise appearance to share his pain and concerns, and also presented a performance by the team “Ujuwana,” which includes his son Lee Seung-hoon, an active trumpet player, captivating the audience’s hearts.
Especially, the final performance by Gaon Soloists, “Dream of a Goose,” was sung together by Dr. Oh Eun-young and singer Lee Sang-woo, drawing a big round of applause. The proceeds from this performance will be used to support the activities of disabled musicians.
Dr. Oh Eun-young expressed her thoughts, saying, "I hope that through activities like this talk concert, each member of our society will continuously have comfortable and natural interest in one another."
Cho Hyun-sang, Head of the Hyosung Sharing Volunteer Group (Vice Chairman), said, "Through this concert, I hope people will put aside prejudices about differences and grow into a more inclusive and mature society," adding, "We will continue to support cultural and artistic sponsorship activities that present visions so that more people can experience culture and arts, share those emotions, and help spread seeds of small changes."
