Changwon Pallyong Tunnel and Jigae-Namsan Connecting Road ... Toll Free During Lunar New Year Holiday

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 31st that it will implement free tolls on toll roads managed by Changwon City for four days during the Lunar New Year holiday, including substitute holidays, in line with the government's Lunar New Year livelihood stabilization measure of exempting highway tolls.
The roads in question are the Pallyong Tunnel connecting Yangdeok Intersection in Yangdeok-dong, Masanhwoaegu, and Pyeongsan Intersection in Pallyong-dong, Uichang-gu, as well as the Jigae-Namsan connecting road linking National Road 79 in Jigaeri, Buk-myeon, Uichang-gu, and National Road 25 in Namsan-ri, Dong-eup.
The toll exemption period is from 0:00 on February 9 to 24:00 on February 12, a total of four days, during which all vehicles using these roads will be eligible for free toll benefits.
The city expects approximately 54,000 vehicles to use the Pallyong Tunnel and about 59,000 vehicles to use the Jigae-Namsan connecting road during the four-day holiday period, with the total expected toll fees waived amounting to around 120 million KRW, which will be fully supported by the city.
Additionally, private roads managed by Gyeongsangnam-do within the jurisdiction (Machang Bridge, Changwon-Busan road) will also have toll exemptions during the four-day Lunar New Year holiday period.
