Maston Investment Management Holds Workshop with EY Consulting to Review ESG Disclosure Trends
Maston Investment Management announced on the 30th that it held a workshop reviewing ESG trends in the alternative investment industry together with EY Consulting, the consulting division of the global accounting and consulting firm EY Hanyoung.
Hosted by Maston Investment Management's Brand Strategy Team, the workshop held on the 29th of this month examined ESG reporting trends and non-financial disclosure regulatory developments in the global market, and took time to review Maston Investment Management's current status of ESG management.
The event featured Seongbok Lee, Director at EY Consulting, as the speaker. Director Lee is an ESG strategy expert who has led the publication of sustainability management reports and the establishment of ESG strategies for major domestic conglomerates and financial companies, and has participated in numerous ESG evaluation response projects such as CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), DJSI (Dow Jones Sustainability Indices), and the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS). After graduating with an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, he worked at EY Hanyoung and is currently serving as an ESG consultant at EY Consulting.
The employees from Maston Investment Management’s investment, management, and ESG-related departments who participated in the workshop reached a consensus that sustainability management reporting significantly impacts the response to risk and opportunity factors. They also discussed methodologies on how to clearly express the ESG management expectations that various stakeholders, including investors, have for the company.
