Dobong-gu, Recruiting Artists to Participate in Local Culture and Arts Support Project
Final Selection of 60 Teams Through 1st and 2nd Rounds
Benefits Include Opportunities to Perform and Participate in Events Hosted by Dobong-gu
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is recruiting 60 local artists to participate in the regional cultural artist support project "Sounds Connecting Us" (hereinafter referred to as "Uri Sori") until February 14.
Uri Sori is a project that provides opportunities for skilled local artists to participate in cultural and artistic events, thereby enhancing the cultural brand value of Dobong-gu.
Last year, artists participating in Uri Sori took part in various Dobong-gu local events, including the Uicheon Light Festival, which attracted 130,000 participants, the 50th anniversary launch event of Dobong-gu, and the 11th Dobong Lantern Festival.
If selected as a participating local cultural artist for Uri Sori, artists will be given opportunities to perform at events hosted and planned by Dobong-gu in 2024, and will receive support such as sound equipment and performance fees.
Applicants must be residents of Dobong-gu and hold an artist activity certificate (or have experience working in Dobong-gu), and must fall under less than 120% of the median income based on health insurance payment standards.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Dobong-gu website (Notice Board → Notices/Announcements), filling it out, and then sending it via email to the person in charge or submitting it in person to the Dobong-gu Office Cultural and Sports Division.
Through the first document screening and the second live performance screening, a final 60 teams will be selected. The announcement of successful document screening candidates will be individually notified via text message or phone call on February 20.
Following this, a live performance screening (public audition) will be held for the document screening passers at Seoninbong Hall on the 2nd floor of Dobong-gu Office from March 6 to 8, and the final successful candidates will be announced on March 13 on the Dobong-gu Office website. To ensure a fair live performance screening, four internal and external professional artists will participate as judges.
