Gangdong-gu Actively Resolves Collective Complaints on Housing Ownership Discrepancies
Discrepancies Between Actual Residence and Ownership Status in Two Multi-Family Houses in Cheonho-dong... Active Administration Leads to Adjustment Plan... On the 26th, On-Site Adjustment Meeting Hosted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission with Signing of Adjustment Document
Kangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Su-hee) announced on the 30th that it actively addressed the discrepancy between the actual residence and ownership status of multi-family housing (Cheonho-dong 127, 127-1) at the on-site mediation meeting of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission held on the 26th.
The two buildings at Cheonho-dong 127 and 127-1 are multi-family houses built side by side on adjacent land, both approved for use on April 11, 1988. However, due to an error, the residents of these houses have lived at swapped addresses for about 34 years since moving in.
Upon realizing the buildings had been confused, the residents filed a complaint with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission to resolve the discrepancy. Accordingly, the district prepared a mediation plan to correct the building register according to the actual residence status of the residents based on the commission’s investigation results.
Based on this, on the 26th, the residents (applicants), Kangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Su-hee), and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (Vice Chairman Kim Tae-gyu) directly inspected the two multi-family housing sites, and after the mediation meeting, they finally signed and sealed the mediation agreement.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission evaluated that resolving a collective complaint regarding swapped residence status through correction of the building register ownership is the first case nationwide.
