‘Oil Terminal’ Opens... Korea National Oil Corporation Operates ‘Job Experience Internship’
Strengthening Employment Competencies Through On-Site Practice for University and High School Students in Ulsan Area
Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dong-seop) is opening its oil storage base to local university and high school students to conduct job experience events.
On the 29th, the Oil Corporation announced that since the 22nd, it has been operating a 2024 winter job experience internship program for 1 to 5 weeks targeting university and specialized high school students in the Ulsan area.
This internship program has been running since 2018 as an employment support curriculum linked with industry-academia internship programs and open schools for nurturing and supporting local high school talents.
In this winter job experience internship program, job and employment competency enhancement education that can be practically helpful for employment was provided to 15 university students from Ulsan University and UNIST and 15 specialized high school students from the Ulsan area. Additionally, opportunities to broaden field knowledge were offered through tours of the oil storage base.
For university student interns, they are assigned to on-site departments considering their majors and practice tasks while accumulating job knowledge through mentoring. They will be given assignments to complete in order to improve practical skills in a short period.

A Korea National Oil Corporation official said, “We hope that students in the Ulsan area will gain substantial help in career decisions and employment through the internship,” and added, “We will further activate the internship program to nurture excellent local talents in cooperation with regional educational institutions.”
Interns participating in the job experience program at Korea National Oil Corporation are touring the Korea National Oil Corporation Exhibition Hall.
