On the 29th, Gyeonggi Province signed a "Gyeonggi Late-Night Bus Expansion and Activation Business Agreement" with the Incheon International Airport Corporation at the airport.
The two organizations have been working to improve late-night transportation convenience for Incheon Airport users by providing operating subsidies for late-night airport bus routes (6 routes, 24 trips) that were expected to run at a deficit. Recently, as the number of Incheon Airport users during late-night hours has increased, Gyeonggi Province and the airport corporation decided to expand late-night airport bus operations in the Gyeonggi area.
The newly established Namyangju route (N8844) and Yongin route (N8877) will depart from Gwangneungnae (Jinjeop) stop and Korean Folk Village (Yongin) at 9:30 PM and 2:00 AM, respectively, starting February 1.
The two organizations also agreed to extend the last departure time from the airport for six routes?Suwon (N4000), Seongnam (N5300), Ansan (N7000), Bucheon (N7001), Gwangju (N8842), and Uijeongbu (N7200)?from 11:00 PM to 3:50 AM.
Accordingly, with the increase in late-night operations on the two newly established routes and the existing six routes, the number of late-night airport bus trips will expand from the previous 24 trips per day to 32 trips.
