'Magical Girl Isekai Idol' Crowdfunding Amount Reaches 4.1 Billion on Tumblbug
The crowdfunding platform Tumblbug announced on the 26th that the funding amount for the Kakao Entertainment webtoon 'Magical Girl Isekai Idol' single volume and special official goods has surpassed 4.1 billion KRW.
The funding, which took place over about a month starting from the 28th of last month, saw participation from a total of 31,336 people, achieving a cumulative funding amount of 4,198,890,000 KRW. Within 24 hours of opening, the cumulative sponsorship exceeded 2.53 billion KRW, far surpassing the initial target amount of 20 million KRW, and by the 6th day, it approached 3 billion KRW. The average sponsorship per person was approximately 134,000 KRW.
'Magical Girl Isekai Idol' is a six-member girl group created using virtual reality (VR) technology. They released their first digital single in 2021 and have gained great popularity mainly among males in their teens and twenties. The webtoon was released in June last year and has surpassed 10 million cumulative views, and the webtoon OST achieved 1 million cumulative streams within a day of its release.
