Busanjin-gu as the Center of Bu-Ul-Gyeong and the Heart of the Southeast Region

Lee Su-won, former Secretary to the Speaker of the National Assembly, has announced his candidacy for the 22nd general election.

On the morning of the same day, Lee held a press conference at the briefing room on the 3rd floor of the Busan City Council, declaring his candidacy for the Busanjin-gap electoral district as the right person to lead a great transformation in Busanjin-gu.

Candidate Lee emphasized, "I have returned stronger to Busanjin-gap, where I left four years ago with resentment due to a unilateral parachute nomination," and asserted that he is a candidate whose ability and qualifications have been verified.

He revealed his development strategy for Busanjin-gu, stating that through bold regulatory innovation and daring urban planning, he will transform Bujeon Station into a business valley that attracts people by developing it not just as a simple transfer center but with hotels, exhibition halls, and more.

He promised to push for the complete relocation of the Gaya Freight Terminal and utilize the site as a new growth engine. He also pledged to develop an advanced bio, pharmaceutical, health, and regenerative medicine R&D complex linked with the medical tourism specialized district in Seomyeon, create a landmark cultural space like MSG Sphere, and consider creative ideas such as hosting the ‘K-POP World Cup’.

Additionally, he proposed linking urban forest parks to promote Busanjin-gu as a cultural, recreational, and healing tourism belt.

Candidate Lee also expressed his political convictions, emphasizing the need to change the political culture of extreme confrontation and division.
