Yegan IT Creates Immersive Metaverse Spaces Using Mobile Phone Videos
By 2030, the metaverse-related industry is expected to reach a scale of 400 trillion KRW, according to industry insiders.
Furthermore, it is predicted that activities such as psychological counseling, language learning, shopping, and even virtual travel within virtual spaces may become possible.
Yegan IT Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Byung-jae), established in 2016, is a content development company specializing in metaverse-related AR and VR content, boasting extensive experience in these fields.
Yegan IT captures real spaces using mobile phone videos and replicates them exactly in virtual spaces, providing content optimized for various target platforms. They have received positive responses through diverse projects including music videos of domestic idol groups, the Gentle Monster store space within Zepeto, AR content for telecommunications companies and Jump, and web 3D content production.
Metaverse content for famous domestic tourist sites is a project Yegan IT has particularly focused on. Various Korean tourist destinations such as Deoksugung Palace, Mireuksaji Stone Pagoda, Mokpo Modern History Museum, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Busan Oryukdo, and Seosan Haemieupseong Fortress have been realized as metaverse spaces through Yegan IT. Not only tourist sites but also major domestic venues like the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium, SK Baseball Stadium, Everland Panda World, and Gwangju Municipal Museum have been faithfully reproduced in virtual spaces by Yegan IT.
Recently, Yegan IT introduced a newly upgraded metaverse platform called "Girabee," an enhanced version of the mirror world app "SNOVALL," which gained attention for delivering famous spaces to users' homes. Girabee is a 3D content distribution proprietary platform characterized by flexible access to metaverse content via web URL links and QR codes.
As it offers high-quality content across various sectors, many domestic public institutions and major corporations are among Yegan IT’s clients. According to insiders, this year the company is also pursuing entry into the Japanese market by launching collaborative projects with culture companies based in Japan.
CEO Park Byung-jae stated, “This year, we aim to expand our business areas targeting both B2B and B2C markets. Starting this year, in addition to developing metaverse content for tourism resources, we plan to enable users to experience real cultural spaces within the metaverse.”
