Yongin City "Looking for High-Quality 'Lifelong Learning' Programs"
Up to 30 Million KRW Support per Program in 6 Areas Including Education for 50s and 60s Shinjoongnyeon
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it will conduct a 'Lifelong Education Program Support Project Contest' to expand lifelong learning opportunities for citizens and discover excellent programs.
The contest targets six categories: ▲50s and 60s New Middle-aged Education Programs ▲Excellent Lifelong Education Programs ▲Gyeonggi Lifelong Learning Clubs ▲University Resource-linked Lifelong Education ▲30s and 40s Lifelong Learning Equalization Programs ▲Lifelong Education for the Disabled. The application period is from the 29th of this month to the 21st of next month.

The maximum support amount per program selected in the contest is ▲50s and 60s New Middle-aged Education Programs 30 million KRW ▲Excellent Lifelong Education Programs 7 million KRW ▲Gyeonggi Lifelong Learning Clubs 1 million KRW ▲University Resource-linked Lifelong Education 20 million KRW ▲30s and 40s Lifelong Learning Equalization Programs 20 million KRW ▲Lifelong Education for the Disabled 6 million KRW.
The '50s and 60s New Middle-aged Education Programs' and '30s and 40s Lifelong Learning Equalization Programs' are open to non-profit lifelong education-related institutions or organizations within the region. For 'Gyeonggi Lifelong Learning Clubs,' learning clubs with eight or more members registered at the Yongin Lifelong Learning Center can apply. At least 80% of the club members must be Yongin citizens, and regular learning sessions must be held at a fixed location at least twice a month.
'University Resource-linked Lifelong Education' is a lifelong education project provided in connection with universities that have excellent educational resources, and local universities can apply. Additionally, 'Lifelong Education for the Disabled' is open to non-profit institutions and organizations related to lifelong education for the disabled within the region.
The city plans to finalize the supported institutions in March after external expert evaluations and review by the Yongin City Subsidy Deliberation Committee.

A city official stated, "We support specialized projects to revitalize lifelong education and develop high-quality programs tailored to citizens' needs and perspectives," adding, "We will strive to create a lifelong education environment where all citizens can participate in education and benefit from it."
