Police Intervention Ends Incident...Comments Flood Video
Famous pianist Brendan Kabanoff, who was filming a performance video in London, England, got into a verbal dispute with Chinese tourists holding the Five-starred Red Flag. Kabanoff responded directly to the Chinese tourists demanding him to stop filming by saying, "This is a free country."
On the 20th (local time), Kabanoff was live streaming a piano performance video at St Pancras Underground Station in London, the capital of the UK. Kabanoff is a YouTuber and pianist with 2.19 million subscribers, known for playing piano in public places across Europe.
However, the video that day was different. As he began playing, a group of Chinese tourists holding the Five-starred Red Flag approached and started demanding, "Please stop filming." A woman who appeared to represent the group said, "We are from Chinese TV and are filming for the New Year celebration," adding, "We don't want such scenes to be recorded, so please turn off the camera."

Insults were exchanged as well. The Chinese woman threatened to call the police and accused him of being a racist. A male tourist shouted at Kabanoff, "Why do you keep bothering her? Stop it." In response, Kabanoff firmly said, "This is the UK. Follow UK law," and "Communist Party members are trying to control us."
Later, two police officers arrived and separated the tourists and Kabanoff. One of the officers advised Kabanoff not to upload the video (online), but Kabanoff refused.
In an interview with the British internet media outlet TalkTV, Kabanoff explained the situation, saying, "(The tourists) kept insisting on what I shouldn't do and what they should do throughout," adding, "A group of Chinese people came to London and were giving us orders. I thought they crossed the line." He also criticized the British police's response. Kabanoff pointed out, "The police did nothing in front of the Chinese people who were just claiming I was a racist," calling it "ridiculous."
Meanwhile, the video remains posted on Kabanoff's YouTube channel. As of 2:40 PM on the 23rd, it has recorded over 3.68 million views. Additionally, a video clip posted on Kabanoff's X account has accumulated over 8 million views.
