Jangseong-gun Raises Heavy Snow Warning... Additional 15cm Snowfall Expected
At 6:20 a.m. on the 23rd, a 'Heavy Snow Warning' was issued for Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do.
According to the county, as of 7 a.m., the average snowfall was recorded at 14.8 cm, and an additional 15 cm of snow is forecasted to fall by the 24th.
The county is mobilizing a total of 196 pieces of equipment, including available snow removal machinery and volunteer residents' tractors, to carry out snow removal operations on roads and mountain passes, deploying 223 snow removal personnel.
Jangseong County Governor Kim Han-jong checked the snowfall status in the towns and townships at the Disaster Comprehensive Situation Room on the morning of the 23rd.

County officials have also been on emergency duty since 6 p.m. the previous day.
Kim Han-jong, the head of Jangseong-gun, who visited the county disaster control center that morning, received reports on the situation in the towns and townships and said, "Minimize inconvenience to residents through prompt snow removal operations," and added, "Please be careful to prevent any safety accidents during snow removal work."
He continued, "Heavy snowfall is expected to cause damage to agricultural facilities such as greenhouses," and urged, "Towns and townships should make efforts to prevent snowstorm damage through on-site inspections and situation reports."
