Suncheon-si, Cultural Street Creative Activity Support Project Contest Announcement

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that it will support cultural and artistic activities such as experiences, exhibitions, and performances held in the Culture Street to create a specialized hub area where citizens can encounter culture and arts in their daily lives and to revitalize the Culture Street.
Eligible applicants are operators of cultural and artistic businesses and residents within the Culture Street area (entire Yeongdong and Haengdong areas, and part of Geumgok-dong).
The support areas include cultural and artistic events such as experiences, performances, and exhibitions, with funding up to 2 million KRW for experiences, 4 million KRW for exhibitions, and 5 million KRW for performances.
Submission of documents is only possible through the online system, the Local Subsidy Management (Botaem e) system.
Additionally, explanations about the project and how to apply through the Botaem e system can be heard on January 25th at 2 PM in Room 203 of the Suncheon City Culture and Health Center Lifelong Learning Center.
A city official stated, “We hope that the Cultural and Artistic Creative Activity Support Project will serve as a catalyst for establishing a self-sustaining creative activity foundation for many cultural artists active in the Culture Street and for enhancing citizens’ enjoyment of culture and arts.”
