The newly opened Village Community Support Center is an expanded relocation of the existing center, which was located on the first floor of the Yongin Social Economy Support Center in July 2020, to the second floor of the same building. The newly established center covers an area of 502㎡ and is equipped with offices, a multipurpose room, a laboratory, and a village lounge. The establishment of the new center involved a total investment of 2.042 billion KRW, including 1.942 billion KRW from the city budget and 100 million KRW from the provincial budget.
At this location, education is provided for facilitators of the Yongin-style Village Autonomy School and village activists, and consulting services are offered to communities selected through public contests. Additionally, the center serves as a communication space for various village communities and residents, as well as a meeting place for youth and young adults, while also preserving annual records of village community activities.
