Gangseo-gu Will Not Enforce Fixed CCTV During Lunch Hours... For Commercial Area Revitalization
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) is expanding the 'No Enforcement of Illegal Parking Using Fixed CCTV During Lunchtime' to all areas.
The district conducted a pilot project for no enforcement of illegal parking using fixed CCTV from mid-November to the end of December last year. Local merchants and residents using restaurants responded positively, leading to the expansion of the program to revitalize commercial areas.
The no enforcement applies only during lunchtime (11:30 AM to 1:30 PM) and covers all areas within Gangseo-gu. However, the six prohibited illegal parking zones (fire hydrants, bus stops, intersection corners, crosswalks, school zones, sidewalks) and fixed CCTVs managed by Seoul City remain subject to enforcement.
