Choi Min-sik Occult 'Pamyo' Opens on February 22
Director Jang Jae-hyun, who directed the films The Priests (2015) and Svaha: The Sixth Finger (2019), will release his new film Pamyo on February 22, the distributor Showbox announced on the 23rd.
The occult mystery film Pamyo depicts strange events that occur to a geomancer, a mortician, and shamans who relocate suspicious graves for a large sum of money. Actor Choi Min-sik anchors the story as a geomancer who searches for land, while Kim Go-eun plays a shaman who soothes restless spirits. Yoo Hae-jin appears as a respectful mortician, and Lee Do-hyun takes on the role of a shaman who chants sacred texts.

The film has been invited to the Forum section of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, which opens on the 15th of next month. This section previously featured works by directors such as Bong Joon-ho's Snowpiercer (2013), Kim Tae-yong's Late Autumn (2011), and Kim Jee-woon’s A Tale of Two Sisters (2003).
