Eunpyeong-gu Completes Remodeling of 3 Public Park Restrooms
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) recently completed the remodeling project of three public restrooms and held a completion ceremony on the 19th at the public restroom in Saenghwal Sports Plaza Park.
The remodeled public restrooms include ▲ Saenghwal Sports Plaza Park ▲ Buntogeo Children's Park ▲ Jangmi Tennis Park, a total of three locations. Due to the aging restroom facilities, frequent malfunctions and poor aesthetics caused significant inconvenience to users.
The remodeling work was carried out according to the characteristics of each restroom. The largest, the public restroom at Saenghwal Sports Plaza Park, was designed to preserve the scenic feature of overlooking the forest, allowing visitors to enjoy Bongsan Forest even from inside the restroom. Additionally, the lower space, which had been left unused as a storage area, was transformed into a book yard, providing a resting space for park and restroom visitors.
The public restroom at Buntogeo Children's Park added child-sized washbasins, considering that many children use the facility. The restroom at Jangmi Tennis Park had all its outdated facilities replaced with new ones to improve user convenience.
The completion ceremony held on the 19th was attended by Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, construction participants, public restroom-related personnel, and district officials. The restroom and book yard were opened immediately after the event for residents to use.
