On the 19th, Arts and Tourism Awards Presented at New Year's Gathering
Jeonbuk Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Lee Kyung-yoon, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced on the 19th that it held a New Year's greeting event with cultural arts and tourism professionals in the province at Jeonju Lahan Hotel.
The event, held on the 18th, was themed "New Jeonbuk, Special Opportunity - Embrace with Culture and Heal with Tourism" in line with the launch of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province. It provided an opportunity to greet cultural arts and tourism professionals and explain the Foundation's operational direction and projects.

The New Year's greeting event was attended by about 300 cultural arts and tourism professionals in the province, including Governor Kim Kwan-young, Provincial Assembly Chairperson Guk Ju-young-eun, Superintendent of Education Seo Geo-seok, Jeonbuk Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organizations President So Jae-ho, and Tourism Association President Jo O-ik. At this event, CEO Lee Kyung-yoon explained the achievements of the past year and the Foundation's main directions for this year.
As a side event, the 1st Arts and Tourism Awards ceremony was held. This award was established and implemented for the first time this year to encourage the creative motivation of cultural artists and to boost momentum in the tourism industry.
The awardees included group recipients such as Design Evo, Jeonju Daesaseupnori Preservation Society, Yeou, Jeonju Boys and Girls Choir, and Arcville, and individual recipients Lee Jong-geun, Lee Heung-jae, Lee Ki-hong, Jeon Ho-gap, Yang Jin-sung, and Shim Jae-gyun were honored.
All attendees participated in a group performance, symbolizing hopes for a special and new 100 years of cultural arts and tourism development. The significance was further enhanced by a congratulatory performance by the 'Ddabak Band,' composed of artists with disabilities.
Governor Kim Kwan-young said, "The words that best described Jeonbuk last year were 'challenge' and 'success,' especially with remarkable achievements in the cultural arts and tourism sectors. This was largely thanks to the strong support from the Foundation's members. I hope you will take on the challenge of a new century together with the newly reborn Special Self-Governing Province."
CEO Lee Kyung-yoon said, "Having walked together for 128 years, and looking forward to a more special 100 years, we will work together with the residents to envision the infinite future of culture, arts, and tourism in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province."
