Korea Federation of SMEs, Recruiting Cooperatives for 'Specialized Workforce Support Project for Small and Medium Enterprise Cooperatives' Participation
Support for Cooperative Joint Business Specialist Personnel Costs
The Korea Federation of SMEs announced that it will recruit cooperatives to participate in the ‘Specialized Workforce Support Project for SME Cooperatives’ from the 18th to February 8th to revitalize joint projects of SME cooperatives.
This project supports the labor costs of specialized personnel newly hired by SME cooperatives to promote joint projects. Eligible applicants are SME cooperatives established under the SME Cooperative Act.
Selected cooperatives through the procedure will receive support within the budget for up to 2 employees per cooperative for one year from the initial hiring date, covering 70% of the monthly labor cost with a limit of 2 million KRW per person.
Cooperatives that received support for specialized personnel last year can apply for an extension of the support period, and if selected through re-evaluation, they will receive 50% of the monthly labor cost in the second year.
This project is conducted according to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ ‘3rd Three-Year Plan for Revitalizing SME Cooperatives’ and plans to invest a total budget of 940 million KRW, the same as last year, to support specialized personnel for joint projects in SME cooperatives.
The hired specialized personnel will complete training courses on SME cooperative management and joint project strategy provided by the Korea Federation of SMEs, and then perform roles such as planning, execution, performance management, and network building of joint projects.
Last year, the Korea Federation of SMEs supported 66 specialized personnel in a total of 65 cooperatives. Representative successful cases include the Korea Mining Cooperative’s hiring of technical personnel for the establishment of a ‘Mining Specialized Work Environment Measurement Institution’ and the Korea Supermarket Cooperative Federation’s hiring of specialized personnel for the construction and operation of the ‘National Integrated Small Logistics Center System.’
