The practical education will focus mainly on rice, which has the highest demand for education, covering easy solutions to last year's farming problems, key technologies for stable high-quality production, and content that can improve farm management capabilities.
The Agricultural Technology Center's own instructors will tour 12 eup and myeon areas to provide the education.
This year, the program will also include education related to changed agricultural policies, such as the public payment system, carbon neutrality practices, safe pesticide use, high-concentration fine dust response measures, and prevention of fire blight in fruit trees.
This is to respond to changing agricultural conditions, establish annual farming plans, and quickly disseminate new farming technologies.
Additionally, seven strategic crops?potatoes, garlic, beekeeping, walnuts, onions, sweet potatoes, and chili peppers?have been selected, and internal and external experts in each field will be invited to provide education on cultivation management and pest control at the Imsil-gun Office Farmers' Education Center, aiming to contribute to increasing farmers' income and improving management.
County Governor Shim Min said, "Since the New Year Practical Education for Farmers marks the start of the farming year, we will ensure it is practical and substantial," adding, "We hope farmers will show great interest and participate actively to gain useful information and establish systematic farming plans for stable farming activities."
